Dr. Charisse Colbert was born and raised in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. Dr. Colbert has received an Associate of Arts degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from Southern Illinois University, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Howard University. Working in the medical field as a Physical Therapist exposed Dr. Colbert to patients with Temporal Mandibular Dysfunction (jaw dysfunction) thus piquing an interest in the dentistry. This interest led to a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch Houston.Dr. Colbert has been practicing dentistry since 1993. Dr. Colbert is committed to keeping up with the ever changing advances in dentistry through continuing education courses. She has had extensive training and experience in Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr.Colbert has completed Mini-Residency program at the prestigious Esthetic Professionals in California. She has advanced training in screening and treatment of Sleep Apnea patients.
