Dr. Al Azzawi received his dental degree from the University of Baghdad/ College of Dentistry in 2000 and completed his first Master’s degree in Laser Dentistry from the same university. Then, he received his PhD with his first specialty training in Orthodontics from the Universality of Science Malaysia, which is ranked as one of the top Malaysian universities. After moving to the United States, he received his second time specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics with his second Master’s degree in Health Professionals Education from the prestigious University of Rochester, Eastman Institute for Oral Health and Warner School of Education.

Dr. Al Azzawi has more than 18 years of experience in providing dental and orthodontic care to patients, including several years of experience in academia. Multiple award-winning with extensive scientific researching in fields of dentistry, orthodontics, lasers in dentistry, cell culturing, molecular biology and genetics with publications in peer-reviewed US and international scientific journals.

Dr. Al Azzawi is married to an exceptional pediatric dentist, Dr. Sarah, and they have two boys together. When not in the clinic, Dr. Al Azzawi enjoys spending time with his family and doing some activities together, such as; kayaking, camping, hiking, and exploring the great state of Texas and beyond.

Dr. Al Azzawi is licensed by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners and is currently a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO). The AAO lists him as a recommended Orthodontist for our Beaumont, TX area.
